'Intersection' for live-electronics and live-video, ~9', 2013

“Intersection” is based on two video recordings of an intersection in Zürich/Switzerland, one reorded during daytime, the other during night time. Rapid juxtaposition of these two image sources and their inverted colorations are rhythmisized according to algorithmic processes that are also controlling various levels of the musical composition. The latter is based on conglomerations of oscillations in various registers and a voice recording from police radio that is played back with waveset granulations.
The piece works on the auditive and visual level with elements of surveillance, observation, obsessive control and paranoia.

It was premiered at UCSD in San Diego on February 5, 2013.
